David DePape, a Donald Trump follower and QAnon conspiracy theorist who attacked Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, inside their San Francisco home, admitted to police that he was on a "suicide mission."

According to the Washington Post, DePape, a 42-year-old Canadian national who has overstayed in the United States and became embedded in the QAnon conspiracy and antisemitic movement, allegedly told police investigators that he had a target list of state and federal politicians. It was reportedly all part of his effort to combat the "lies" coming out of Washington, D.C.

DePape was arraigned Tuesday afternoon inside the San Francisco County Superior Court. He faced several state charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, residential burglary, false imprisonment, and threatening the life of or serious bodily harm to a public official.

DePape was hoping to find Nancy Pelosi at their home last Friday morning, and he planned to torture and break her kneecaps.

San Francisco District Attorney Wants David DePape Held in Jail Without Bond for Paul Pelosi Attack

The New York Post has obtained the motion filed by the San Francisco District Attorney (DA) asking to keep David DePape in jail. This motion came after the right-wing conspiracy theorist told the DA: "I'm sick of the insane f-ing level of lies coming out of Washington, DC. I came here to have a little chat with his wife."

DePape also admitted that attacking and hurting Paul Pelosi was not his goal but said the elderly businessman kept on "escalating things." 

The police also asked him about his other plans, and he answered them by saying that he "cannot be stopped," before admitting that he "has other targets." These include a local professor, several prominent state and federal politicians, and their relatives.

When he attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband, DePape kept asking, "Where is Nancy?" When Paul Pelosi asked him why he was looking for his wife, he replied, "Well, she's number two in line for the presidency, right?" Paul Pelosi said "yes," and this was when David DePape allegedly responded by saying, "they are all corrupt" and "we've got to take them all out."

David DePape Pleads 'Not Guilty'

During his arraignment, David DePape was given a public defender who entered a "not guilty" plea on his behalf. It was the suspect's first public appearance since he broke into the Pelosi home.

According to the Associated Press, the suspect was seen wearing orange jail clothing with a sling in his right arm during the hearing. Adam Lipson, his public defender, said his client's shoulder was dislocated during his arrest.

Police tackled Depape when he violently attacked 82-year-old Paul Pelosi in the head with a hammer. Lipson added that they would do a "comprehensive investigation of what happened," and look into his client's mental state. He also said he would not discuss the issue further until he got more information.
