The world's most soccer-crazy nation held its collective breath as Neymar hobbled into the bench. The Athletic reported that the Paris Saint-Germain forward was fouled during the match and was eventually withdrawn.
The official Brasil Football Twitter page revealed that the team doctor confirmed that Neymar sprained his ankle and is already receiving treatment. However. Brazil still has to wait around 24-48 hours to know how severe the injury is. For now, the team admitted they have no answers at this point.

Portugal Defeats Ghana in a Thriller as Cristiano Ronaldo Makes History
Portugal had a thriller against Ghana's Black Stars. However, it showed that the team's superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, may be on his way out. Even so, the soccer icon still made a lasting impression with a history-making goal in what may be the final World Cup of his illustrious career.
During the 65th minute, Ronaldo made history when he scored an important goal that further cemented his legacy. It was a penalty kick, that made him the first male player in history to score at five World Cups. This feat was previously done by female Brazilian striker Marta in 2019.
Ronaldo now has eight World Cup goals to his name, scoring in four previous World Cup tournaments.
CNN noted that while Ronaldo still made history, he looked far from the Ronaldo of old. However, he still has his wits, and this thinking led to him being fouled, which led to that penalty goal.
Portugal struggled for much of the match as both teams in Group H, regarded as a "Group of Death," with Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea, struggling to break through. In the end, Portugal won a close one, 3-2.
