Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of three out of seven charges in his second sex crimes trial in Los Angeles. He was known to be a Hollywood mogul, whose many sex crimes helped spark the #MeToo movement.

The 70-year-old is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for rape and sexual assault in New York. Weinstein was charged with seven counts of raping and sexually assaulting women from years between 2004 and 2013.

The victims were a model, a dancer, a massage therapist, and a producer. He was initially slammed with four more charges. However, prosecutors dismissed those as they said they were "unable to proceed" on the allegations of one woman identified as Jane Doe 5.

The jury cannot reach verdicts on allegations by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, California Gov. Gavin Newsom's wife, and a woman named Jane Doe 2.

Weinstein denied the accusations against him. He also did not testify during his Los Angeles trial.

One of his accusers was labeled a "bimbo" by his attorneys.

His lawyers also claimed that the women had agreed to "transactional sex" with Weinstein to advance their careers in Hollywood.

Weinstein was acquitted of sexual battery against an accuser known as Jane Doe 3.

He was wearing a grey suit during his Los Angeles trial on Monday. He was not using a wheelchair as he had done in past court appearances.

Eight men and four women were in the jury for Weinstein's trial. They all had spent nine days deliberating on three charges of rape and four other sexual assault counts.

Jane Doe 1 was a Russian-born model, who accused Weinstein of raping her. She testified that Weinstein raped her in her Beverly Hills hotel room while in Los Angeles in 2013.

Siebel Newsom also testified that she was a documentary filmmaker when Weinstein raped her in a hotel room in 2005.

In 2010, Jane Doe 3, who is a massage therapist, testified during the trial that Weinstein had trapped and sexually assaulted her in a hotel bathroom.

One of the accusers, identified as Lauren Young, testified that Weinstein had trapped her in a hotel bathroom and sexually assaulted her. Young was a model, aspiring actor and, screenwriter when she met the producer.

Weinstein's abuse was first published in 2017 by The New York Times. Actresses Rose McGraw and Ashley Judd were among the women who came forward.

Judd filed a lawsuit, but it was dismissed by a Los Angeles federal court.

Thirteen more women came forward with their allegations in the New Yorker magazine. The accusations include three cases of rape.

In March 2018, Weinstein's former company filed for bankruptcy after the Hollywood producer was accused of multiple sex crimes.

Weinstein was then indicted by a grand jury in New York in May 2018 on charges of rape and criminal sexual act.
