Kim Kardashian has detailed her co-parenting situation with her former husband, Kanye West. The two share four children - North, 9; Saint, 7; Chicago, 4; and Psalm, 3.

During the December 26 episode of Angie Martinez's IRL podcast, Kim said she "definitely protected" Kanye and still will for their kids. The reality TV star noted that her children do not know anything "that goes on in the outside world."

Martinez asked in the podcast episode how she manages to keep the details of her divorce and the controversy following their father from their children.

Kim then explained that her children are not on social media, and she talks to her children's teachers at their schools. She also admitted that protecting her children is a "full-time job." The SKIMS founder then broke down in tears and said: "It's hard. S--t like co-parenting, it's really f--king hard."

However, Kim Kardashian noted that she would be ready once her children asked her about Kanye West's public issues. She added that her kids would thank her one day for "not bashing their dad" when she could.

An insider told E! News that the rapper's children are very bonded to him and adore him despite what is happening. The source added that Kim Kardashian is "doing a great job" of not letting the controversies affect their children's relationship with Kanye West.

The same source noted that Kim still wants to include her ex-husband in important events in the children's lives and makes every effort to do so.

On December 5, Kanye was reportedly at Kim's house for several hours and spent time with the whole family to celebrate the birthday of their eldest son, Saint.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West married in 2014 and settled their divorce filings by the end of November. The two got joint legal and physical custody of their children.

A source who knew about the divorce agreement between the two noted that Kim Kardashian will receive $200,000 per month in child support from the Yeezy founder.

Court documents filed in Los Angeles showed that their four children would require the amount to pay for their private security, private school, and eventual college costs.

The four children attend a private day school in Los Angeles' Sierra Canyon School, where tuition costs $20,000 yearly for pre-kindergarten and $40,770 for high schoolers.

Kanye West has recently lost partnerships with Gap, Balenciaga, and Adidas after the rapper said antisemitic statements and associated himself with white supremacists. Reports said Kanye lost $2 billion in a day.

Kanye has already publicly apologized to Kim in an interview for "any stress" that he has caused her. Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. Last March, the SKIMS founder was allowed to legally change her marital status.
