After buying pieces of jewelry owned by Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor, an iconic diamond cross necklace that Princess Diana once wore is now part of the elegant jewelry collection of billionaire Kim Kardashian. 

Auction sources told TMZ that the SKIMS founder outbid a group of serious jewelry nuts at a Sotheby's auction Wednesday for the rare diamond-encrusted necklace. According to a representative from Sotheby's, the stunning necklace went for a whopping $197,453.

Princess Diana reportedly wore the "Attalah Cross" necklace at a 1987 London charity event paired with a purple-tinged dress. The famous necklace was hanging low down her torso. 

The late princess borrowed the piece from the Garrard jewelry firm for the occasion. The diamond chain has since come into the possession of Sotheby's world-renowned auction house, and Kim now owns it after her winning bid.

Kim Kardashian has been known in the auction circuit for quite some time now, hunting new pieces to add to her spectacular jewelry collection. According to reports, she has also acquired some iconic pieces of jewelry that used to belong to Elizabeth Taylor and Jackie Kennedy.

Kim Kardashian Bids on Jackie Kennedy Luxurious Watch

Kim Kardashian reportedly won one of Jackie Kennedy's super-expensive timepieces in an auction in 2017. Auction sources previously told TMZ that the reality star won the luxurious watch of the legendary former first lady in a Christie's auction.

Christie's reportedly expected the watch to sell for $120,000, but Kim's secret bid brought in $379,500. Christie's projected the Cartier watch to be sold for $120,000, but Kim's anonymous, winning bid went as high as $379,500.

It was believed that Jackie Kennedy acquired the expensive watch when she was first lady, a few months before President John Kennedy's assassination in 1963.

The watch, which she got as a gift from brother-in-law Prince Stanislaw "Stas" Radziwill, was reportedly engraved on February 23, 1963. The timepiece has no diamonds, and the design is understated. 

Kim Kardashian Puts Big Money on Elizabeth Taylor's Bracelets

Kim Kardashian also paid nearly $65,000 to get the three stunning jade and diamond bracelets that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, TMZ reported. When Taylor's entire collection of rare jewelry was auctioned off in New York City in December 2011, Kim was one of the bidders. 

The whole collection was reportedly worth a whopping $116 million. Sources close to the reality star told TMZ that Kim was a big fan of Elizabeth Taylor, especially after she interviewed the actress for a magazine shortly before her death. 

Kim's winning bid for the three jade and diamond Lorraine Schwartz bangle bracelets was $64,900. The insiders said Kim believes that jade harnesses energy. The sources noted that Kim felt a deeper connection to the Hollywood icon after she owned the bracelets.

Forbes recently reported that Kim Kardashian's current net worth is $1.8 billion. She reportedly parlayed reality TV stardom into a 10-figure wealth, selling a mobile game, cosmetics, and shapewear.

According to Forbes, a large portion of her fortune comes from her stakes in her cosmetics and fragrance business KKW Beauty, and her shapewear company SKIMS.
