The separation between Colombian music legend Shakira and Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique has become one of the ugliest celebrity breakups of this decade. However, Shakira is not just feuding with Pique, but also with his mother.

In her viral new song, "BZRP Music Session #53," the Colombian sang about her ex-partner leaving her with her mother-in-law as a neighbor. This is in reference to the real-life fact that she lives beside her former mother-in-law, Montserrat Bernabeu, Pique's mother.

Shakira seems to be acting very petty regarding her neighbor, blasting her viral song in the direction of Bernabeu's house, as well as placing a witch mannequin on her balcony facing her mother-in-law's house.

Now, it seems that there is a reason for this, as Bernabeu may have abused the singer. A new video has surfaced and it showed the two women arguing, with Pique's mother gesturing Shakira to keep quiet as her son is talking to somebody else. Shakira's reaction was unclear as she had her back to the camera.

According to Hola!, Bernabeu also seemed to be reaching for her then-daughter-in-law's face.

Gerard Pique's Mother Worried About Shakira's Witch Mannequin

The feud between the two former in-laws had been very petty so far. Not only did Shakira place a witch on her balcony and blasted her new song, but she is also raising the walls between their homes and cementing off their common areas.

However, it seems that Pique's mother has been upset and worried about the witch that Shakira placed on her balcony.

According to Marca, Montserrat Bernabeu talked to one of Shakira's employees and asked him to "turn the witch around and stop looking directly at her house."

Media have pointed out that despite the request, the witch was still in the same position, which is facing her former in-law's home directly.

Montserrat Bernabeu Claims to Have 'Tried Everything' to Make Shakira and Gerard Pique's Relationship Work

The relationship between Shakira and Gerard Pique lasted over a decade, even resulting in two children being born, Sasha and Milan. Whenever the two celebrities are away, their children would be spending their time in their grandmother's home, especially for dinner.

Montserrat Bernabeu sat down with the Spanish magazine Lecturas and claimed that she did "everything in her power" to keep the relationship between the two stars intact. However, after Pique cheated on Shakira, everything went south.

Bernabeu also claimed in the interview that Shakira has instructed her children to stop calling her "grandmother," and that the breakup between the two had been hurtful to her personally.

Bernabeu is a doctor and the current director of the Guttman Foundation. She told the magazine that she and her husband have made sacrifices for Shakira and said that they are "open for dialogue" with her. Now, she says that she is suffering for her grandchildren, whom she claims to already have a fractured relationship with her.

Shakira is now planning to leave Barcelona and move to Miami. A court settlement with Pique granted her custody of the children,
