As much as he wanted to, former Manchester United star Gerard Pique did not want to publicly discuss his very messy breakup with Colombian music superstar Shakira. However, when asked about if he listened to her diss song, he surprisingly answered.

The Catalan soccer star was in an interview with RAC1 and was asked if he listened to Shakira's viral diss track, "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" which his ex did with Argentinian producer Bizzarap.

He surprisingly answered, stating that he "obviously listened" to the song. However, the former FC Barcelona defender added, "I don't want to talk about it, I don't think I should talk about it."

There was a bit of an awkward silence in the interview and Pique finally spoke up again and said he really did not want to talk about it and said he just wanted his children to be happy, according to the Daily Mail.

"We have a responsibility, those of us who are parents must protect our children," he said. "Everyone makes their own decisions. I don't feel like talking anymore. I just want my children to be well."

Shakira and Gerard Pique's Son Appears at a King's League Event

Speaking of Gerard Pique and Shakira's kids, reports are claiming that the Colombian was frustrated after their son, Milan, appeared in a stream of the Kings League on Twitch, according to Marca.

However, Pique explained that he just wanted his children to be well, and it was Milan who asked him to be in that King's League event.

"I've always had a close relationship with my children. He asked me to appear in the King's League. He was looking forward to it," the Catalan star said. "Nothing makes me happier than making my son happy. I would do it all over again."

Pique might just be wanting to spend more time with his kids, as Shakira will be getting sole custody of them as both of them agreed to this. The singer is planning to move out of Spain and into Miami with both Sasha and Milan, the former couple's two sons.

As for Shakira, she was spotted watching an ice hockey game in New York. She was at the UBS Arena to cheer for the New York Islanders as they took on the Washington Capitals in a 5-1 losing effort. However, the Colombian music icon was not alone.

The singer was seen sporting a furry New York Islanders hat and posed for a picture with her former "The Voice" co-star Carson Daly. The NHL even tweeted a photo of the two. They previously worked together in "The Voice" back in 2013 and 2014, according to the New York Post.

It was all a part of a whirlwind week for the Colombian while she was in New York. She recently appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She and Bizarrap performed their hit song together and even opened up about the breakup.
