California: Missing San Francisco Wild 94.9 Radio Host Jeffrey Vandergrift Found Dead
The San Francisco, California's famous Wild 94.9 radio host Jeffrey Vandergrift, who has been missing since February, has been found dead, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco told SFGATE Thursday.
"With a heavy heart, we must confirm that the body found near Pier 39 on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as our dear friend, family member & colleague, JV," wrote his employer, Wild 94.9, in a March 23 tweet.
The radio station added that they are devastated to know now that the host is gone and pleaded with everyone to keep his wife Natasha, his family, and his close friends in their prayers.

The host of the "JV Show," a popular radio program in the Bay Area, has built a loyal following among locals throughout his career.
The station claims he became famous for his pranks and other comedic acts while broadcasting.

Wild 94.9 Radio Host Jeffrey Vandergrift Talks About Health Struggles Before Disappearance
Jeffrey Vandergrift updated his listeners on his health status on his last show on February 23 before he went missing, ABC 7 noted.
"The stuff I've been going through in my brain that they are trying to figure out," he said
"It started off... with them believing that something had reignited old infections," he stated, saying that he can deal with the physical aspects, including discomfort, but he cannot even begin to explain what is happening to his mind.
Although Lyme disease is commonly associated with exhaustion and lightheadedness, it can also bring on emotions such as depression, anxiety, and even anger.
"Thank you for a wonderful life filled with joy, laughs, pain, and struggle..." Vandergrift said in his final message on social media.
Wild 94.9 Radio Host Jeffrey Vandergrift Went Missing
Jeffrey Vandergrift was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2021. He has been open about his struggles with the illness, including his ongoing "brain fog," dizziness, migraines, and blurred vision.
Wild 94.9 radio host Jeffrey Vandergrift was last seen on February 23 at 10 p.m. on the 200 block of King Street, San Francisco, California, according to Fox 13.
The police were notified of his disappearance the following day and declared him in danger without providing further details.
The San Francisco Police Department tweets a missing person report for Vandergrift at 3:04 p.m.
Wild 94.9, an American radio station in San Francisco, California, posted online that it was "deeply concerned" about Vandergrift's location two hours later.
There has been no traceable activity on Vandergrift's phone, credit cards, or bank accounts, according to a report from Wild 94.9 from February 27.
The authorities said they did not suspect foul play in his disappearance.
Natasha Yi, Jeffrey Vandergrift's wife, stated on March 1 that she does not expect her husband to return. She also expressed appreciation to the audience for their continued encouragement.
She informed the listeners that personal information had recently been discovered, leading them to believe that her husband would not return, Yi stated in a message broadcast by Wild 94.9. on Wednesday. Yi is also a co-host on the JV Show.
"I tell you this with incredible pain and sadness in my heart," she concluded.
