Bad Bunny Graces TIME Magazine's First Spanish-Language Cover
Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is the latest cover star of TIME magazine.
The 29-year-old Puerto Rican reggaeton superstar made history again as the first person to appear on TIME magazine's Spanish-language edition cover.
For the first time in over 100 years, TIME has a title in Spanish on its cover. The Spanish title is "El mundo de Bad Bunny," or "The World of Bad Bunny" in English, with a quote from the rapper saying, "I'm not going to do anything else to make you like it," BBC reported.
The TIME magazine cover is on top of the Latino artist's numerous successes, including being the most listened-to musician in the world on the Spotify platform for the past three years.
He has the highest earnings record for his tours in 2022. He also sang for the first time in Spanish at the 2023 Grammy ceremony, where he won the Best Musica Urbana Album award for "Un Verano Sin Ti."

His fifth solo album, "Un Verano Sin Ti," also became Billboard's top-performing album of the year. Bad Bunny beat Taylor Swift and Harry Styles in the award.
Aside from his success, Bad Bunny admitted that he also wants to be just Benito to do whatever he wants.
According to TIME magazine, the Hispanic rapper may be the world's "first reverse crossover artist," with his success refusing to cater to the mainstream.
Bad Bunny noted that he would be happy if a thousand people listened to him, and he managed to perform once a month at a little place. However, he acknowledged that it would be impossible as he always wants to "give more and more and more."
Bad Bunny has yet to release a single song in English but has managed to win accolades for his artistry.
He also spoke about how non-Latins are "trying to be Latino" nowadays, adding that it has now become "cool to be Latino," according to Remezcla.
Bad Bunny also commented on his critics who refused to listen to his music now, saying that his music is for those who love him. The rapper noted that if they do not want to listen to his music anymore, "that's fine," and someone else will like it.
