California Man's Death Marks Second Fatal Davis Park Stabbing in 4 Days
Police in California are investigating Davis City's second fatal stabbing after a man was discovered in a park on Saturday night with multiple stab wounds.
According to Fox News, the incident was reported to the Davis Police Department around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday after a concerned individual contacted 911 to report a disturbance in Sycamore Park near Sycamore Lane and Colby Drive.
The caller said before calling 911, he went outside to find out what happened and discovered the California man, who appeared to have been stabbed numerous times.
The victim, a male in his early 20s, was found by police, and emergency workers pronounced him dead at the scene.
Davis police and personnel of different Yolo County law enforcement agencies searched the area for a suspect described as a light-skinned man between 19 and 23 years old who may be a 5'7 to 5'8 tall Hispanic with long, loose, curly hair.

Second Davis Fatal Stabbing Victim Identified
Davis officials have confirmed that the California man found dead in Sycamore Park was a UC Davis student. The individual has been identified as Karim Abou Najm, who was also a graduate of Davis High School, ABC 10 reported.
The Davis Police Department is investigating Najm's death as a homicide. Officials have yet to release additional information about the investigation.
Davis, a city in Yolo County, California, has been rocked by two fatal stabbings in the past four days. The brutal nature of both crimes, which were likely committed using a knife, has left the community reeling.
However, there were no known connections between the two victims, and it remained unclear whether the two incidents were related, according to the Davis Vanguard.
Aside from the Davis Police Department, other law enforcement agencies in Yolo County, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the California Department of Justice, work together to investigate both crimes.
The Davis Police Department has been particularly active in coordinating the investigation. It has issued notices to the public to preserve the crime scene and prevent the suspect from destroying evidence.
None of the individuals taken into custody in the past days have been linked to the two deaths.
First Fatal Stabbing in Davis
The first body of a man was discovered in Davis' Central Park in California on Thursday morning, prompting a homicide inquiry.
Davis police reported that around 11:20 a.m., they responded to a call about an unresponsive person in the park, CBS News reported. The police officers and paramedics who quickly responded determined that the guy in the park was dead.
The California man had multiple stab wounds, and the case is being treated as a homicide, according to the police. The Yolo County Coroner released the victim's name on Friday. He was 50-year-old David Henry Breaux.
He had been a Davis resident since 2009 and was known in the city as the "Compassion Guy," police said.
"Many of us knew David. We talked with him. We shared in his vision for a kinder world. We connected on what it means to be human and humane," said Mayor Will Arnold in a statement on Friday.
Breaux would often meet and talk to passers-by on a busy corner in downtown Davis, asking them for their thoughts on compassion. As he became popular, the city installed a bench in Breaux's corner in 2013 called the "Compassion Bench."
