Texas Shooting Suspect's Partner Allegedly Helped Him While on the Run
Authorities said they detained a woman they believe to be the wife of the Texas shooting suspect wanted for the murders of five people, including a 9-year-old boy.
The arrest occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday, according to CBS News.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said via social media that Divimara Lamar Nava, 52, was arrested and charged with "hindering the apprehension of a known felon." The records show she is being held on a $250,000 bond.
Jail documents describe Nava as "not married," although she has been identified as the Texas shooting suspect's wife.
The court hearing for Nava was recorded on Wednesday, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office provided the video.
She had been arrested for obstructing the apprehension of a fugitive, a felony of the third degree for which she was being imprisoned. The prosecution claimed that Nava helped Oropesa on his way to Mexico.

Texas Shooting Suspect Francisco Oropesa, Others Arrested
Texas shooting suspect, Francisco Oropesa, a Mexican national, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with five counts of murder concerning the mass shooting that occurred on Friday night.
While the charges were being read to him on Wednesday in the San Jacinto County jail, Oropesa, 38, said very little. County Justice of the Peace Randy Ellisor claimed that through an interpreter, he only answered, "I see, I see, I see."
The entire bond amount is $7.5 million, or $1.5 million for each count, as stated by Ellisor.
Oropesa remained in custody at the county facility on a Wednesday. Ellisor said the necessary steps are being taken to appoint him counsel.
District attorney's office sources told CNN that capital murder charges, which carry the death penalty in Texas, could be filed against Oropesa.
Two further suspects were apprehended, and authorities gave new details about them on Wednesday.
Case documents and San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers indicate that Nava was apprehended at the same Montgomery County residence where Oropesa was discovered Tuesday evening hiding in a closet behind a pile of clothes.
It was unclear whether she had legal representation or when she would appear in court.
Authorities had traced Nava to the address associated with Oropesa's relatives, a source told CNN. Cleveland is a city northwest of Houston, and that home is around 20 minutes west of where the massacre occurred.
Domingo Castilla, who is also accused of aiding Oropesa, was detained and taken to the San Jacinto County jail, according to Ellisor.
"We expect more charges to be filed," said Dillon after Castilla's arrest for marijuana possession.
More than 180 mass shootings have occurred in the United States this year. It also highlighted the challenges rural sheriff's offices face with limited funding.
The Horrific Texas Shooting Massacre
Wilson Garcia alleges the Texas shooting suspect had been firing shots outside his home before the attack. According to Garcia, he went to Oropeza and requested whether he and the other men may shoot on the other side of the property while the baby napped.
Oropesa was their longtime neighbor. Garcia said he helped him cut down a tree once.
Garcia claims he "respectfully" asked Oropeza to stop firing, but Oropeza replied that he was on his property and could do as he wanted.
Garcia continued by saying he and his family had called 911 five times. After another ten to twenty minutes, he said that Oropeza rushed up to him and began loading his gun.
Garcia recalled that his 25-year-old wife, Sonia Argentina, had told him to seek shelter indoors because she thought the gunman would not fire at a woman. Tragically, the Texas shooting suspect killed her before shooting everyone.
