Detroit Nurse, Who Was Kidnapped in Parking Lot, Found Dead Inside Her Car Trunk
Authorities have arrested the ex-boyfriend of Detroit nurse Patrice Wilson, who was found dead in the trunk of her car after being abducted from the parking lot of a hospital.
Jamere Miller, 36, allegedly abducted the 29-year-old nurse while she was about to get into her black 2020 Lincoln Nautilus in the DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital parking lot at around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, New York Post reported.
According to the police, Miller then drove the vehicle toward I-75 and Mack Avenue. Police Captain Donna McCord noted that the suspect was last seen wearing a blond wig.
Wilson's body was later found in the trunk of her car near her home at Pavilion Court in Novi with a gunshot wound. Speaking to Local 4, Wilson's mother, Roslind Livingston, appealed for anyone with information about her daughter's killer to come forward "so she can have justice."
"It's Mother's Day, and she is not here to be with her son. Her son cannot hold her and say 'Happy Mother's Day' today. That bothers me," she noted.
Livingston, who also works at the same hospital, said her daughter used to date Miller, but she "has been trying to get away from him" as "she knew he was toxic to her."

Detroit Nurse Ex-Boyfriend Turned Himself In
Jamere Miller reportedly arranged his surrender to the police on Sunday afternoon. In a press conference on Monday, Detroit Police Chief James White noted that Patrice Wilson and Miller had recently ended their relationship, Detroit Free Press reported.
White said Miller wore a blond or red wig to disguise himself when she kidnapped Wilson. According to the police, Miller entered her vehicle and forced her to drive away.
White noted that this case was the latest example of how pervasive domestic violence is in their communities. He described the incident as tragic, horrific, and complex.
White said the Detroit nurse was a young woman who "had her whole life ahead of her," but "she was viciously murdered."
Detroit Nurse Ex-Boyfriend Has 'Violent' Criminal History
James White revealed on Monday that Jamere Miller had a violent criminal past that included domestic violence, firearms and drug-related offenses, and an assault on a police officer.
White further disclosed that Miller was previously in a relationship with Bianca Green, a woman who went missing in Romulus in 2011. Police said the suspect was cooperating with authorities in their search for her.
So far, 12 people have already been killed this year in domestic violence-related incidents in Detroit, including last week's murder of Calandra Green, Oakland County's top health official, and the shooting death of a 41-year-old mother of two in Southfield, Detroit News reported.
The mother of two was reportedly ambushed as she exited a hotel with her new boyfriend, but police said the gunman was later killed in Detroit as he reached for his rifle.
