Bronny James, the 18-year-old son of NBA star LeBron James, was discharged from a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest during basketball practice at the University of Southern California (USC) on Monday, according to Washington Post.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Bronny was admitted, issued a statement confirming that he was now at home resting with his family following the incident at USC's Galen Center.
A spokesman for the LeBron James Family Foundation had provided updates Tuesday, stating that Bronny James was in stable condition and had been transferred out of the intensive care unit.
Bronny James was fully conscious, neurologically intact, and stable upon his arrival at the hospital, according to Merije Chukumerije, a cardiologist at Cedars-Sinai.
The medical personnel at USC promptly provided swift and effective treatment, contributing to his current condition.

Bronny James Resting at Home, Expected to Undergo Extensive Tests
Bronny James' brief stay in intensive care is seen as a positive sign for his long-term recovery after experiencing cardiac arrest at USC's Galen Center.
Chukumerije expressed hope for Bronny's continued progress, highlighting his response to treatment, resilience, and support from his family and community.
As part of his ongoing evaluation, Bronny is expected to undergo extensive testing to determine the underlying cause of the cardiac arrest, which is standard procedure for such cases, per Sky Sports.
Despite the incident, Bronny James has been making a name for himself in basketball, carving out a promising career, even amidst the considerable shadow of his father, LeBron James.
His talent and two-way point guard skills made him a top recruit during his high school years in suburban Chatsworth.
The cardiac arrest occurred during USC's summer practices as they prepared for a 10-day tour in Europe.
Lebron James Wants To Spend His Last Season With Bronny James
LeBron James has expressed his aspirations to play in the NBA alongside his son, said the Daily Mail.
Bronny James would be eligible to join the league in the fall of 2024 at the earliest, coinciding with LeBron's 22nd NBA season, which would match Vince Carter's longest career in league history.
LeBron has openly stated that his last year in the NBA would be played alongside his son.
He is determined to support Bronny's basketball journey, and wherever his son plays, LeBron will be by his side.
The bond between father and son extends to their shared love for the game, with LeBron actively attending his sons' games, even during his off days from playing with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sameer Amin, a cardiologist and the chief medical officer at L.A. Care Health Plan, has emphasized that it is too soon to determine how Bronny James' basketball career could be impacted by his recent health setback, USA Today reported.
It is too early to speculate on whether he can return to the sport and the timeline for his potential comeback.
