Donald Trump Claims He Has Evidence That He Is Innocent in Georgia Election Manipulation Case
Donald Trump's legal troubles continue to mount as the fourth indictment against him finally dropped in Georgia. However, the ex-POTUS claims he has "evidence" that proves he is innocent.
"A Large, Complex, Detailed but irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. on Monday of next week in Bedminster, New Jersey," wrote Trump on Truth Social. He invited people to a news conference where he promised to present the evidence.
He claimed that all charges against him will be dropped thanks to the "CONCLUSIVE Report" that he will be presenting. It will be a document that will be over 100 pages and compiled by Trump communications aide Liz Harrington, who is described to be a "true believer" in Trump's many false claims, including his election conspiracy theories.
The New York Times noted that much of Donald Trump's voter fraud claims in Georgia have already been debunked in court. However, it is unclear what he will be presenting on Monday exactly.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, a Republican who has butted heads with Trump, spoke out after the ex-POTUS claimed he has evidence, saying, the 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen.
"For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward - under oath - and prove anything in a court of law. Our elections in Georgia are secure, accessible, and fair and will continue to be as long as I am governor. The future of our country is at stake in 2024 and that must be our focus," Kemp added.
Donald Trump Using Presentation To Bolster Presidential Run
While Donald Trump is preparing for his presentation of his "evidence" in the court of public opinion as he is presenting this to media, experts are saying that it is likely to have little impact in the actual court of law.
As the New York Times pointed out, the former president's small-dollar donations and poll numbers both picked up, which they usually do every time he is indicted.

The over-100-page document will likely focus on what Trump insisted are "widespread voting anomalies in Georgia." However, many of these claims have already been deemed false and are being used against him in this case, which includes 18 other co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani, Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, John Eastman, and Sidney Powell.
Donald Trump Allies Scrambling To Have Georgia Indictment Thrown Out
Should Donald Trump win the presidency in 2024, he would have the power to pardon himself of his federal crimes, which include his 2nd and 3rd indictments, being the classified documents case and the federal election interference case. However, he would not have the power to pardon himself on the state level, and this is making many of his allies scramble to get that Georgia indictment thrown out.
People familiar with the matter told Rolling Stone that Trump allies are now desperately searching for legal theories that the ex-president could use to either shut down state investigations into his conduct or nullify potential convictions.
One of these methods includes asking the conservative-filled Supreme Court to step in. Their argument is that Fulton County DA Fani Willis does not have the authority to prosecute him because they claim that only Congress can prosecute a president for actions taken while in office. They are also thinking about taking this argument to the State Supreme Court.
However, legal experts pointed out that the argument may not be accepted, as this may just be wishful thinking on the side of the Trump allies.
