Patrick Mahomes is usually the biggest name whenever he plays at Arrowhead Stadium. That changed the moment Taylor Swift arrived to cheer for his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce, who is rumored to be dating the pop superstar.

Tay-Tay was seen cheering on Travis Kelce beside his mother, Donna Kelce, at Arrowhead, and soon enough, her appearance added fuel to the dating rumors.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback then talked about what happened when Travis Kelce scored that big touchdown and revealed that he was actually playing wingman for his Chiefs teammate. He was even joking about it, saying, he felt extra pressure to throw the ball to the younger Kelce brother so he could score a touchdown and impress the Grammy-winning singer.

"I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to," joked the NFL superstar, according to Billboard.

During a post-game interview, Mahomes, who seems to be enjoying not having the spotlight on him this time, was more than happy to give it to Travis Kelce. He admitted that the tight-end told him about Swift's appearance at the "last minute." He jokingly added, "There's some things with Trav where he kind of just says it and you don't know if it's true or not ... He was like, 'Yeah, I think she's coming to the game this weekend,' and then moved about his business."

He also talked about Taylor Swift herself, saying, "Yeah, I mean she's a pop star, she's a tremendous singer, tremendous at everything she does." He did admit during the interview that he was not able to meet her, but if the rumored romance does pull through, he says that he may finally meet her at some point.

Travis Kelce Merchandise Sales Up by 400% After Taylor Swift Appearance

Travis Kelce is feeling the Taylor Swift effect right now as sportswear and fan merchandise company Fanatics reported that the tight-end was one of the top-selling NFL players on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the company told the Associated Press in an email that the younger Kelce brother "saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com." The increase in sales came after Taylor Swift appeared at Arrowhead to cheer for Kelce.

As for Travis Kelce's other teammates, a hilarious video has surfaced showing their reactions to seeing Taylor Swift at a private box with their teammate's mom and wearing the team's red and white colors.

According to The Daily Mail, one Chiefs staffer can be seen exclaiming "Oh s***!" the moment he saw who was cheering for their team. Patrick Mahomes was also in the video and was seen waving up to the stands. It is unclear if he was waving to Swift.

The Kansas City Chiefs demolished the Chicago Bears during that game, 41-10, and fans are claiming that they were playing extra-inspired during that night. However, their opponents, the Chicago Bears, had been struggling as of late.
