After five months of being off air due to the WGA strike, late night shows like "The Tonight Show," "Late Night, Jimmy Kimmel Live," and "The Late Show" are back, and they once again targeted Donald Trump as the butt of many of their jokes and segments.

Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Seth Meyers were all back and expressed their gratitude for the WGA's new contract. Colbert even joked about why it took so long, quipping, "Oh, I see, artificial intelligence can be used, but it can't be credited as a writer or be a source of literary material? That makes sense - why did that take five months?"

Colbert added, "It feels good to be back" before joking that because of the WGA strike, his writers finally got to experience fresh air and sunshine.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmel joked about them being gone for so long that one of the Bachelors from "The Bachelor" is now a grandfather.

THR reported that Seth Myers joked that he felt refreshed about not caring about Rudy Giuliani or the rest of the Trump world for five months.

"I'll never forget the day this summer, my 7-year-old came up to me and said, 'Not only do I not care what Rudy Giuliani did today, I'm not gonna care what he does tomorrow.' While I hear that, I do think he's missing out," he joked

Now that they are back, however, they were making fun of Trump and those around his orbit once again. All of them mocked Trump's four indictments and poked fun at the turmoil in his inner circle, with the House Speakership battle, the Lauren Boebert sex scandal, Rudy Giuliani's money problems, and more.

Donald Trump Triggered as Late Night Shows Return To Poke Fun at Him

Trump is not very happy with the return of the late night shows.

"Now that the 'strike' is over, the talentless, low rated CREEPS of Late Night Television are back. I knew there was a reason I didn't want to see it settled - True LOSERS!!!" he ranted on his Truth Social platform.

"Remember when I told you that the poorly rated and not at all funny Late Night Talk Shows are nothing less than a major Campaign Contribution to the Radical Left Democrat Party," wrote the former president on social media. "Watch what is going on - so interesting!"

However, many celebrated the return of these talk shows as Colbert, Kimmel, Myers, and Fallon all put out all the stops for their big return shows and took some big portions of their time to skewer him with jokes.

Late Night Shows Also Made Fun of Taylor Swift and Others

Donald Trump was not the only one targeted by the late night comedy show hosts after they returned when the WGA strike ended. They also took aim at the biggest star in music right now, Taylor Swift.

They touched on the nonstop media coverage of the singer's rumored romance with Travis Kelce, as well as the infamous "Diarrhea Plane" incident.

Lauren Boebert's sexual adventures inside a Denver theater also got some very "handsy" jokes.
