For the first time since they started dating, Selena Gomez finally brought new boyfriend Benny Blanco as her "plus one" during an awards show, with the couple showing up together at the Emmys.

Blanco was notably not the one she brought during the Golden Globe Awards, where fans caught her gossiping with her "BFF," Taylor Swift. However, it was a different story at the Emmys, where she proudly posed for photos with him by her side.

According to Billboard, Benny Blanco was seen with Selena Gomez for much of the event, as shown in photos and videos. However, it was noted that they did not pose for photos together on the red carpet before the Emmys started.

The two came together before the show but split up as Selena Gomez faced a line of cameras to show off her Oscar de la Renta dress adorned with more than 450,000 paillettes. He did blow her a kiss before she took to the red carpet, however, but did reunite later before taking their seats.

The couple was seen with Gomez's "Only Murders in the Building" costars Martin Short and Steve Martin. The trio failed to bag an Emmy for their show.

This was the couple's first awards show going together. While both of them were at the Golden Globes, they were not seen together, as photos of Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift dominated the headlines during that awards show. They did spend New Year's together and were also spotted watching a Los Angeles Lakers game together.

At the Emmys Red Carpet event, while they were not photographed together throughout much of it, Selena Gomez and her new boyfriend, Benny Blanco, were reportedly in high spirits and mingling with other celebrities.

One of these celebrities includes Aubrey Plaza, and the couple was seen gushing over her during the Emmy Awards, praising her while she was interacting with them, according to Teen Vogue.

Selena Gomez Trolls Lip Readers with Emily Blunt After Gossiping Incident with Taylor Swift

Before the Emmys happened, Selena Gomez was at the American Film Institute Awards and poked fun at lip readers who speculated that she and Taylor Swift were gossiping about Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet at the Golden Globes.

She and fellow actress Emily Blunt covered up their mouths to stop lip readers with "active imaginations," according to TMZ. Gomez then posted the photo on her social media with the caption, "We shall not speak lol."

Blunt was also the target of lip readers who monitored her and her husband, John Krasinski, talking to each other on the red carpet, with the lip readers "spotting" Kasinski "saying" the word "divorce" to Blunt, sparking divorce rumors.
