Joe Biden Gets Campaign Cash in Donald Trump's Territory, Calls Former President a 'Loser'
President Joe Biden ventured into the political heartland of former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, making a fundraising swing through South Florida, according to The Hill.
The trip not only aimed at gathering campaign contributions but also served as an occasion for Biden to caution against the potential consequences of returning his predecessor to the White House.
Biden's arrival at West Palm Beach airport showcased the palpable presence of Trump's influence.
Air Force One taxied past Trump's personal plane on the runway, with dozens of Trump supporters lining the streets, brandishing anti-Biden signs.
Notably, Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach and one of his golf courses in Jupiter set the backdrop for Biden's first fundraiser of the day.
Addressing donors in Jupiter, Biden acknowledged the pivotal role of his supporters, attributing his presidency and Vice President Kamala Harris's historic position to their efforts.
"You are the reason I am president. You're the reason Kamala Harris is a historic vice president, and you're the reason Donald Trump's the defeated president. You're the reason we're gonna make him a loser again," Biden told donors in Jupiter.
He seized the opportunity to criticize Trump's economic record, highlighting that Trump left office with fewer jobs, except for Herbert Hoover, and condemning Trump's expressed desire for an economic crash.

Warm Welcome and Infrastructure Acknowledgment
Palm Beach County Mayor Maria Sachs and West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James, both Democrats, welcomed Biden on the tarmac, per WPTV.
Their exchange included discussions on Biden's impactful actions, particularly the infrastructure bill.
Mayor James expressed gratitude for Biden's contributions to cities, with the president acknowledging the challenges of serving as a county commissioner.
After the warm reception, Biden traveled north to Jupiter, participating in a campaign reception at the Pelican Club, situated less than 30 miles from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
Upon his return to West Palm Beach, the president engaged with law enforcement motorcyclists and later flew to Miami International Airport for another campaign reception, raising an impressive $6.2 million, according to host Chris Korge.
Despite Florida's significance as a fundraising hub, historical voting patterns make it an unlikely win for Biden in the upcoming election.
While President Barack Obama secured the state in 2008 and 2012, Trump triumphed in 2016 and 2020.
Limited Focus on International Crisis and Republican Figures
During the Jupiter fundraiser, Biden refrained from delving into the Middle East crisis sparked by a drone strike in Jordan that claimed the lives of three American soldiers.
Although he briefly mentioned the US plan to respond, Biden did not delve into details, POLITICO noted.
Notably, he made only passing references to Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and omitted mention of Trump's indictments.
Joe Biden concentrated on economic achievements, countering Trump's recent remarks about hoping for an economic downturn.
The president suggested that Trump's comments stemmed from an awareness of a robust economy, which, in turn, would be detrimental to him politically.
The president echoed these sentiments at a subsequent fundraiser in Coral Gables hosted by Biden Victory Fund finance chair Chris Korge.
As Joe Biden navigates the complex political terrain of South Florida, his dual objective of campaign fundraising and warning against a Donald Trump resurgence underscores the high stakes of the upcoming election.
The clash between the two political heavyweights continues to shape the narrative of American politics, with each maneuver and statement carrying substantial weight in the eyes of the public.
