Wrestlemania kicked off with Day 1 as Mami herself, Rhea Ripley, defended the Women's World Championship at the opener against "The Man," Becky Lynch, who was challenging while sick. Even with a valiant effort, Ripley retained and notched the first win of the night for Judgement Day.
Meanwhile, Next up was the 6-pack ladder match, and as expected, the Raw and Smackdown tag titles were finally split, with the Judgement Day losing both. Jet Uso defeated his twin brother Jimmy Uso in Wrestlemania's third-ever Brother vs. Brother match, while Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi defeated Damage CTRL.
