It looks like former New York City mayor and recently-disbarred lawyer Rudy Giuliani, has thrown his former client, Donald Trump, under the bus in a court filing for his bankruptcy case, with the former Trump attorney saying that the former president and convicted felon has not paid him for legal services he rendered for him.

Court documents have shown that the disgraced former mayor had sought a $2 million payment from Donald Trump "any number of times" during a bankruptcy deposition. In that deposition, it was revealed that the Trump Campaign's officials have ignored the numerous invoices he has sent. However, he did reveal that they only ever paid his expenses.

These court documents were revealed after Giuliani lost a $148 million lawsuit and was recently disbarred as a lawyer for his repeated lies while working as a lawyer for Donald Trump. As it turned out, he was not even paid for rendering the work, which led to his disbarment.

In order to pay for that $148 million court loss he incurred in relation to a lawsuit from two Georgia election workers after he alleged that they were helping winner Joe Biden cheat, Giuliani's attorneys have announced that he wanted to liquidate his assets.

However, according to Newsweek, the lawyers for his creditors have strongly opposed the move, saying that "Giuliani is making his application just as the creditors are applying for full disclosure of his undisclosed assets." In addition, they are also seeking to appoint a trustee to oversee Giuliani's finances.

What Rudy Giuliani Said in His Bankruptcy Deposition

As for the court documents that showed Giuliani saying Trump did not pay him, he told attorney Andrea Schwartz of the Office of the United States Trustee that Trump appealed to him to join the campaign as soon as the election was over. The deposition may be damaging for the former president.

"Once I took over, it was my understanding that I would be paid by the campaign for my legal work and my expenses would be paid. "When we submitted the invoice for payment, they just paid the expenses, not all, but most of the expenses. But they never paid the legal fees," he told the trustee.

"We have for any number of times asked to be paid. Expenses were paid. And we haven't been paid," added the former mayor.

Rudy Giuliani Disbarred for Election Interference on Behalf of Donald Trump

It has been a bad week for Giuliani, who was also disbarred by the New York state Supreme Court for his part in Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 elections, a job that, as the recently-released court documents showed, he was not really paid for.

"The seriousness of (Giuliani's) misconduct cannot be overstated," wrote the New York Supreme Court justices in their decision. "(Giuliani) flagrantly misused his prominent position as the personal attorney for former President Trump and his campaign, through which (he) repeatedly and intentionally made false statements, some of which were perjurious, to the federal court, state lawmakers, the public, the (Attorney Grievance Committee), and this Court concerning the 2020 Presidential election, in which he baselessly attacked and undermined the integrity of this country's electoral process."

As CNN noted, Giuliani had previously been suspended from practicing law in New York for the same reason. A spokesperson for the former mayor and Trump lawyer has condemned the ruling.
