Controversial Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is currently getting ridiculed for getting her basic US history wrong as she only got two out of eight of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence correct.

The lawmaker who claimed that Jewish space lasers caused the California wildfires recently listed the g individuals who signed the Declaration of Independence. However, as historians pointed out to her, she got six of them wrong but did get a measly two right.

"The average age of the signers of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 was 44 years old, but more than a dozen were 35 or younger: Thomas Jefferson: 33 John Hancock: 39 James Madison: 25 Alexander Hamilton: 21 James Monroe: 18 Aaron Burr: 20 Paul Revere: 41 George Washington: 44," she said. The statement immediately garnered corrections and ridicule all over social media.

"James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, James Monroe, Aaron Burr, Paul Revere, and George Washington were not signers of the Declaration of Independence," a reader-added context on X read on her tweet. As expected, this led to a lot of ridicule from commenters.

"Marjorie Taylor Greene being completely wrong about history (AGAIN) aside... Claiming that the average age of the signers of the Declaration of Independence was 44 is NOT a flex when the Founders life expectancy was only 64 years," wrote a retired teacher, @MamaSissieSays, on the replies.

"Ok - who else does moron Marge think signed the Declaration of Independence? Best answer wins a free peach tree dish. Go!" another wrote, while another tweet read, Keep in mind ladies and gentlemen. That Marjorie Taylor Greene is a US Representative. Whose salary is paid for by taxpayers. STOP ELECTING STUPID PEOPLE."

"Yesterday's enthusiasm for President Trump on Lake Allatoona was unmatched!!" she said last Sunday. "I know he won Georgia in 2020, and after yesterday, I know he's going to win Georgia again in 2024!"

The tweet did not go well for her again.

"You have nowhere near the supporters you did 4 years ago. Not even close. And, you're bragging about 30 boats when you used to have hundreds? Again, all these 'flex' photos are just showing us in real time how little there are left in your MAGA world," one user pointed out. "You get ratioed on social media. You literally get chased out of town wherever you go. Your opponent is making friends with your constituents."
