The Beloved Colombian Band Have Found Themselves in Hot Water in Venezuela. In Spanish
The music scene in Venezuela is experiencing a tense moment following the recent lawsuit filed by the production company Aguacate Live against the popular Colombian band Morat. This legal conflict stems from a breach of contract related to a concert scheduled for November 16, 2024, in Caracas.
Aguacate Live, known as the only production company that has brought Morat to the country, aims to protect its rights and those of Venezuelan fans who have trusted in its management.
The situation began when Morat decided to postpone their originally scheduled concert on June 29. Since then, Aguacate Live has encountered difficulties in fulfilling the contract.
Frederick Melendez, music producer and owner of Aguacate Live, exclusively told Enstarz Latino: "This started with the band's decision to postpone their June 29 concert in Venezuela, and since then, we have been unable to fulfill the contract." This statement highlights the frustration felt by the production company due to the lack of response and communication from Morat's representatives.
The lawsuit was filed in the federal courts of the Southern District of Florida, where Aguacate Live US LLC seeks to enforce its contractual rights. The company has been clear in its commitment to transparency and responsibility in all its business dealings, ensuring that this legal action is necessary to safeguard the interests of the Venezuelan public.
Morat's Importance in Venezuela
Morat has made a significant impact on the Venezuelan music scene, having held successful concerts in previous years. In 2022, they sold out two concerts at the Centro Comercial Ciudad Tamanaco (CCCT) and filled another event at Simón Bolívar University in 2023.
Their music has deeply resonated with young Venezuelans, making them a beloved band. However, the current situation has caused discontent among fans.
Meanwhile, Aguacate Live has assured fans that they are working diligently to activate the refund process for those who purchased tickets. "Aguacate Live is committed to our clients and the Venezuelan public who have trusted in our management," the production company stated. This commitment translates not only into a legal defense but also into a promise to their followers that they will do everything possible to ensure a positive musical experience.
