ABC's "Once Upon A Time" Season 4 continues its production of its upcoming "Frozen" saga and has welcomed Australian actress Georgina Haig as Elsa, Queen of Arendelle, to the cast.

As TVLine reported earlier this month, the fairytale drama was looking for a "late-20s/early-30s beauty" who "long struggled to control her 'chilling' powers and even unleashed upon her town an eternal winter during her coronation."

The 28-year-old is now set to play the blonde, slender Snow Queen who accidentally caused the world to freeze, making her younger sister Princess Anna and mountain man companion Kristoff to go on an adventurous quest to save the kingdom. In Disney's 2013 worldwide mega-hit animated movie, Elsa was voiced by Broadway star Idina Menzel, who sang the Oscar-winning soundtrack single "Let It Go."

Haig is best known for playing Henrietta "Etta" Bishop, the daughter of Peter Bishop and Olivia Dunham, in J. J. Abrams' science fiction series "Fringe" on Fox, as well as her current role as disgraced cop Lee Anne Marcus on CBS' law drama "Reckless."

Co-creator Adam Horowitz previously insisted that the season would have a fresh storyline, despite involving "Frozen" at the end of the last season.

"Well, it's funny, we're not going to redo the movie because we just don't feel like it's in anyone's interest for us to redo it," he told E! News. "But what we are going to do, we're not ready to tell you. ... But what we can say is we're very aware of what we think makes this character from 'Frozen' so special, and we want to honor that and make sure that what we do is in the universe of everyone fell in love with this past year."

Georgina Haig joins "Greek" alum Scott Michael Foster and newcomer Elizabeth Lail, who will play Prince Anna and Kristoff respectively.
