In a span of a few days, the game publishers have sent out updates upon updates about the much awaited basketball game franchise. Here are a few updates we've collated.
Ronnie Singh, Digital Marketing Director for 2K and main source for everything 2K games, has announced last week that the firs hands-on trial for the NBA 2K14 will happening in Las Vegas.
"First US #NBA2K14 Current-Gen Hands On is in Las Vegas a week from today. I will be there. Who can meet up?" Singh tweeted.
According to the Facebook event page created by NBA 2K, the NBA 2K14 hands on will happen on August 28 (Wednesday) at the GameStop Expo 2013. From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT at the Sands Expo in Vegas, the new game will be available for play to event goers. Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George will also be at the 2K booth from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. to sign autographs.
The official commercial for the video game has also been wrapped already, and no better person to grace the TV spot than the king himself, LeBron James.
In a series of tweets and Instagram images posted online by Singh, he shared what was going down with LBJ on the set of their commercial shoot.
"#NBA2K14 Commercial Shoot. What's about to go down?" he tweeted together with a link to an Instagram photo of a basketball court against a green screen. He followed that up with several more tweets about the shoot and King James.
According to another post he tweeted yesterday, the official trailer for the video game will be released this week.
2K also posted several new screenshots of the legends and historic teams that will be making their comeback on NBA 2K14. The images posted on Facebook include a dunking Michael Jordan, slamming Allen Iverson and Magic Johnson against a defending John Stockton.
NBA 2K14 for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 will be making its way to stores October 1. While the game's next-gen console versions still has no confirmed release date.
