On July 11, LeBron James showed the world through social media that he was coming home to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers once again.

Now, he is asking fans through social media which jersey he should wear with the Cavaliers: his vintage No. 23 or the No.6 he wore with the Miami Heat.

Cavaliers fans across the country celebrated immediately after James' online posts knowing that the four-time MVP was coming back to Cleveland. After all, it's not very often players actually want to play for the Cavaliers.

What is still unknown and undecided is the jersey number that James will wear this time around. On Friday, James posted this picture on his Instagram page asking fans what they thought.

Unfortunately, it's against NBA rules to wear the number 23.6, so James has to make a decision.

Why he should choose No. 23

James wore the No. 23 for seven seasons, when he played for the Cavaliers from 2003 through 2009. Of course, wearing that number brings a striking resemblance to Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest player in NBA history. Wearing the same number as Jordan certainly brings more pressure, but it would feel more "like home" for James.

James left the Heat so he could take care of "unfinished business" in Cleveland. Wearing the No. 23 would feel more as if he never left. In those seven seasons with the Cavaliers, James won two MVP awards, his only scoring title, and he did lead the Cavaliers to their only Conference Championship. If James want to be a Cleveland Cavalier for life, then he should go with No. 23, because that's the number the franchise will eventually retire when he leaves the game.

Why He should choose No. 6

When James left the Cavs and joined the Heat in 2010, he chose No. 6. He's been wearing that same number ever since for the last four seasons. Going back to Cleveland with the No. 6 may seem weird, but switching back to No. 23 may be even more strange. The way James left Cleveland with "The Decision" and some fans burning his jersey was a bad ending.

Cleveland fans have a lot of great memories of James, but there were also some bad ones, as well, when he wore No. 23. He had multiple playoff disappointments and failed numerous times in crunch time. On the other hand, while wearing No. 6, James has won two NBA championships and two finals MVPs. All four years that James has worn No. 6, he has made it to the NBA Finals. Why stop a winning streak?

Choosing to wear either number could have benefits for both the fans or Cleveland's economy. If James is to choose No. 23, Cleveland fans can simply reach into their closets and conveniently grab that old jersey. Why go out and buy a brand new jersey when you've had the original authentic one for about a decade? However, the city of Cleveland could benefit financially with a new number for "the King." If James were to change his jersey number, all the jerseys, shoes and other memorabilia would be at an all-time high.

And for a man looking to help out his community in his return, that would be something he'd have to consider.
