Several NFL teams reported to training camp this week to prepare for the upcoming 2014-15 football season.

Prior to the start of the preseason, coaches need to evaluate their players in a non-game situation. They need to find out which draft picks and which veterans players should be starting who should be the backup. Many teams have separate training camps for rookie and veteran players. Luckily for fans, there are plenty of opportunities to watch position battles take place. NFL.com has provided a comprehensive list of camp starting dates and locations.

Below you will find a preview and breakdown of each division heading into training camp.

NFC East

The New York Giants will have a new offensive coordinator for the first time since 2007, Ben McAdoo, and they had a lot of additions on defense, like Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The biggest addition for any NFC East team was DeSean Jackson by the Washington Redskins. Now we will see how good Eagles quarterback Nick Foles really is.

NFC North

Even last year, the Green Bay Packers won the division when Aaron Rodgers missed almost half the season. The Detroit Lions drafted the best tight end in Eric Ebron and that should free things up for Calvin Johnson. The addition of Jared Allen to the Chicago Bears will certainly help the pass rush.

NFC West

This is currently the best division in the league. The Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will battle it out once again for the division title with the Rams and Cardinals watching from behind. The Cardinals made some good moves (Antonio Cromartie), but they still don't have a reliable quarterback.

NFC South

The New Orleans Saints made the best addition of the offseason by signing safety Jairus Byrd to improve their defense. The Carolina Panthers will be trying to win the division for two consecutive seasons for the first time ever. Lovie Smith will be coaching the Tamp Bay Buccaneers after a nine year run with the Chicago Bears.

AFC East

Can the Buffalo Bills finally make the postseason for the first time this century? It's going to be tough as the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets all improved. The Patriots made a lot of moves to improve their secondary by adding Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner. It will be interesting to see Chris Johnson with the Jets.

AFC North

Marvin Lewis will be returning for his 12th season with the Cincinnati Bengals, and he is still seeking his first playoff win. The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers both look to regain their spot atop the AFC North, while the Cleveland Browns still have to decide on Johnny Manziel.

AFC West

Peyton manning had an incredible 2013 season with 60 touchdowns, regular season and postseason combined. There's no reason to believe the Broncos can't repeat as division champions. The San Diego Chargers and Kansas Chiefs will give the Broncos the most competition in the division as the Raiders are still trying to find themselves.

AFC South

Andrew Luck enters his third season as the Colts quarterback and the team added Hakeem Nicks to the roster. All eyes will be on Houston Texans No. 1 overall draft pick, Jadeveon Clowney. Blake Bortles was drafted No. 3 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars and he needs to prove himself in training camp to the coaches.
