Are the Cleveland Cavaliers ready to feel the Love?

According to multiple reports, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves have "agreed" in principal to trade Kevin Love for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a 2015 first round pick. Both Bennett and Wiggins are No. 1 overall draft picks.

Although the Timberwolves lose the double-double machine that is Love, they didn't have a choice. If they were to keep him for next season, there's a very high chance he would simply opt out after next year. If so, the Wolves wouldn't get the value they did. Because Wiggins is a rookie and he hasn't played yet, he can't be traded until Aug. 23.

So what does this mean for the Cleveland Cavaliers? How will they do next season?

In the simplest terms, it's over. The Cleveland Cavaliers have already won the Eastern Conference.

If only we had a Delorean and could go to the future, then we could skip past the meaningless regular season and directly to the postseason. Better yet, we could set our flux capacitor to June, when the NBA Finals are scheduled. The NBA has never been a balanced league full of parity like the NFL or NHL. We don't see low-seeded Cinderella teams come out of nowhere to make a championship push often, like other leagues. There's a reason why the best player in the NBA, LeBron James, has played in the last four consecutive NBA Finals.

It's not even so much that the Cavaliers will be an "unstoppable force" as much as their competition will be so mediocre.

Who is expected to give the Cavaliers a run for its money? The Indiana Pacers were the No. 1 seed last season, but Paul George is expected to miss the entire season. George injured his leg in a FIBA scrimmage. George wasn't just the best offensive player for the Pacers, but he is a very talented defender. Without George, the Pacers don't stand a chance. Even with George, they may not have won the East again.

The addition of power forward Pau Gasol is a good one, but he doesn't improve the Bulls offensive enough for them to reach championship-level superiority. The Bulls bet the house on Carmelo Anthony--who could blame them?--but unfortunately for the Bulls, Anthony decided to stay in New York City with the Knicks.

The only other team who may pose a little threat to the new look Cavaliers is the Miami Heat. This team is still talented. Both Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade returned, and Mario Chalmers will play much better with James gone. Having said all that, Wade's health is still in question. With James no longer on the team, Wade won't be able to take games off like he used. Bosh is going to have to elevate his game from "great" to "elite" for this team to win the East.

Then there are the "other teams" like the Toronto Raptors, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks. Decent teams, all, but none of them have a slight chance to defeat the Cavaliers in the postseason four times.

James is an all-around great player who will do great things for the Cavaliers. He, combined with Kyrie Irving, will be a terrific combination. Then you throw in Kevin Love, who is used to playing in the superior Western Conference, and the East is easily theirs to win. The NBA is a star-driven league. This offseason, the Cavaliers added two stars to play with a star. That starting lineup is already the best in the East.

Sorry for spoiling next year's Eastern Conference playoff race, but LeBron James will be playing in his fifth consecutive NBA Finals.
