Christina Ricci: Actress Gives Birth to Baby Boy
Following a very discreet pregnancy, the actress has told the world she has a new son. She had kept her pregnancy a secret for many months until she could not hide it any longer and now maintains her privacy.
According to TV Guide the "Casper" and "The Addams Family" star gave birth recently to a baby boy. Ricci is married to James Heerdegen.
The couple met back in 2012 when Ricci was starring as a stewardess in the ill-fated show "Pan Am" and the couple married in October 2013 in a small and intimate ceremony in New York City's Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall, according to People. The old mansion also houses the Council on Foreign Affairs, added the magazine.
Following their marriage, the couple became pregnant but did not divulge much information to the press, which only learned about Ricci's situation via a photo taken in May when the couple where in Los Angeles International Airport, according to Hollywood Life.
Apparently, Ricci had been hiding her expectant mother status on social media by posting photos that hid her emerging baby bump, reports the celebrity site. However, now she has given birth to a son. The new family has not provided any further information about the boy, saying nothing about his name or when exactly he was born.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Ricci will have to juggle motherhood with her upcoming projects, which include the animated film "The Hero of Color City," which comes out in October. She will also star in the drama "Mothers Day" alongside the likes of Susan Sarandon, Sharon Stone, Laura Dern, Eva Amurri Martino and Andie MacDowell.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film by British director Paul Duddridge will be about 12 pairs of mothers and daughters celebrating Mother's day.
