Kevin Hart, Dave Franco Battle in New Bizarre Madden 15 Commercial [Watch]
Kevin Hart knows how to get in his competition's head.
On Friday, EA Sports released a new commercial starring Kevin Hart and Dave Franco for Madden NFL 15. It starts with Hart visiting Franco's house and knocking loudly.
Franco answers the door with a smile on his face, which is when he is slapped in the face by Hart.
Then, the music starts, and an announcer explains how Madden football time is a competitive and emotional time of the year.
"An annual ritual that causes this man to put his hands on this pretty face," the voice said.
After the two have a bit of a staredown, Hart starts rapping.
"Madden season is the reason my hand touched your face," he said. "That time of year is finally here when I put you in your place."
Hart then reveals he has keyed Franco's car and also put sugar in the gas tank.
The video continues to follow Franco through his everyday life, where Hart does not stop following him and trying to psych him out. He gets a little help from Conway, who sings, and Damian Lillard, who steals his girlfriend. Richard Sherman digitally tackles Franco at work.
At a gathering at Franco's house, Colin Kaepernick, Eddie Lacy, Dez Bryant and LeSean McCoy make appearances as rappers. Their rap is a little lacking as all they say is "blah, blah, blah."
Eventually, something changes with Franco. The two start to play, and you immediately see a different side of Hart as well. Hart even tells Franco that he will pay for the car he damaged.
The less than four-minute commercial is bizarre but plays to the strengths of Franco and Hart.
The game will be released on Aug. 26. A video was released Thursday that showed the gameplay.
