Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck will co-star in the upcoming film Runner, Runner. Today, a trailer for the film was released.

Runner, Runner is a thriller about gambling directed by Brad Furman, director of 2011's The Lincoln Lawyer.

Timberlake plays Richie, a young man with big dreams who gets involved with online poker superstar Ivan Block, played by Affleck. Richie encounters Ivan after learning that Ivan cheated during a poker game the two played. When he confronts him, however, Richie finds himself attracted to Ivan's lifestyle which is filled with women, parties, money and alcohol.

"If your boss says you got to go out there and take a beating, take it and then say, 'Do you need me to take it again?'" Ivan says in the trailer.

Soon, however, things go awry when the FBI gets involved, seeking Richie's help to help take down Ivan. "This whole thing's a trap?" Richie says in the trailer, questioning which route will hurt him the least.

The trailer for Runner, Runner is dark and grungy, creating a vibe similar to that of The Lincoln Lawyer.

Other stars set to appear in the film include Anthony Mackie, Gemma Arterton, Ben Schwartz and David Costabile.

Runner, Runner premieres in theaters Oct. 4.

Justin Timberlake will release his fourth studio album, The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2, on Sept. 30.

Warner Bros. recently announced that Affleck, 41, will also play Bruce Wayne in the Man of Steel opposite Henry Cavill who will continue to portray the role of Clark Kent.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who played Detective Blake in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, thinks Affleck will wear the cape well. "That's gonna be great," Joseph Gordon-Levitt told E! News. Many do not agree. Several petitions have been formed on Change.org to get a new actor casted.

"Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Henry's Superman," Snyder, director of the 2015 film, said. "He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime-fighter, but retains the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne."
