Justin Timberlake drew dozens of fans to a club in Hoboken last night. The fans, however, were not there to groove to Timberlake's singles through a stereo system. Instead, the Timberlake-lovers were there to watch Timberlake perform.

Timberlake took to Instagram and Twitter to alert fans that he would be performing at a club called Maxwell's in Hoboken, N.J., but only to a few lucky people.

"150 get in," Timberlake said via Twitter. "See you there!"

As expected, more than 150 people arrived to see the pop star.

"This is complete mayhem," one spectator said via Twitter. "Pretty sure all Hoboken is here."

At Maxwell's, Timberlake performed one song from The 20/20 Experience, "Take Back the Night." The performance was filmed to serve as a commercial for Target.

"Join me & @Target for just one song. Let's "Take Back the Night," Timberlake said via Twitter.

After hours of waiting in line, 150 fans filled the quota.

"So worth standing for four hours in line in the drizzle," Kate Ritchey, a fan, said in an interview with E! News. "[Timberlake] helped to direct us on when to react to what he was saying and doing and when not to."

According to Ritchey, Timberlake also added a splash of "SexyBack," from his previous album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, at the end of the performance.

Timberlake performed "Take Back the Night" two times, in order to make sure the commercial was perfect.

The performance was an intimate one. A full brass band was present, but there were neither drums nor guitars.

Fans were pleased at Timberlake's friendly disposition and laidback attitude.

This is similar to what mother Tina DiLascio said, who spotted the singer while running errands in New York City.

DiLascio managed to get Timberlake's attention when she told him about her daughter Giana. Giana is 13-years-old and a Make-a-Wish Foundation kid who underwent brain surgery last year to save her life. The surgery was needed because Giana was suffering blockage in her brain. She is now a straight-A student.

"He stopped, turned around, came over to me and said, 'Where is she?'" DiLascio said.

"I thought it was a joke," Giana said. "I couldn't believe it. I'm still in shock. We talked about the VMAs, [MTV Video Music Awards] which I thought he was great in."
