The Phoenix Suns reportedly made a last ditch effort to acquire Kevin Love as reports indicated on Saturday that they offered Eric Bledsoe to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

According to Brian Windhorst and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the Suns reached out to the Timberwolves to gauge their interest in executing a sign-and-trade deal that would send Love to Phoenix and Bledsoe to Minnesota.

However, the Timberwolves turned down the proposal as they already have a deal in place with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Philadelphia 76ers where they will get a better haul of talents compared to the Suns' offer.

The Timberwolves acquired 2014 first overall pick Andrew Wiggins along with last year's first overall pick Anthony Bennett and future first-round pick from the Timberwolves in exchange for Love.

The future first-round pick was be shipped to the 76ers along with Luc Richard Mbah A Moute and Alexey Shved in exchange for Thaddeus Young, who is expected to take Love's place in the Timberwolves' starting lineup.

Phoenix and Bledsoe are still far from reaching a new deal this summer, which is the reason why the Suns are trying to trade the 24-year-old point guard, who is a restricted free agent this offseason.

Recent reports indicated that the Suns also had discussions with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Detroit Pistons about a potential deal involving Bledsoe, who is looking for a lucrative deal this summer.

The Suns offered a four-year deal worth $48 million to Bledsoe, the same offer Kyle Lowry accepted from the Toronto Raptors this summer, but Bledsoe declined to accept the contract.

According to reports, Bledsoe, who averaged 17.7 points to go along with 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game last season, wants a maximum deal worth $85 million for five years.

The Suns are showing no signs of giving into Bledsoe's contract demands unless they can find a team willing to absorb the former Kentucky standout via a sign-and-trade deal.
