Pamela Anderson is getting back together with her husband Rick Salomon for the second time since their marriage in 2007. Despite the couple's tumultuous relationship involving many breakups and makeups, Anderson claims that this time around, she and Saloman are "doing fine," People reports.

"It's a real marriage," Anderson told PEOPLE at Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners' Annual Charity Day on Thursday. "It has its ups and downs. I think we're doing fine."

Anderson also defended her past breakups with Salomon to Us Weekly.

"That's the thing [about relationships]," Anderson she explained to Us Weekly. "You can make choices. You don't have to stay in anything that doesn't feel right, you know? That's the modern world."

Prior to their most recent reconciliation, Anderson and Salomon got back together once before their initial marriage in 2007.

According to She Knows, following their 2007 marriage, Salomon and Anderson annulled it two months later. Then in January of this year, the couple reconciled and got remarried. However, in July, Pam filed for divorce. But then a month later the blonde bombshell petitioned the judge to toss out the divorce filing and now the couple is officially back together... again... for now.

Although Anderson and Salomon's relationship has been far from easy, the actress and animal rights activist insists that third time's a charm for her marriage with Rick Saloman.

"It's good!" Anderson told Us Weekly. "We're good friends! I think that's kind of what makes it special."

In addition to working on her marriage, Anderson also announced her work with a domestic violence charity.

"I usually work with more international projects and more people on the front lines of animal endangerment or environmental work," Anderson explained to Us Weekly. "This is something really close to my heart. I've gone through many different things like this in my family so I think that this is such a great service."
