Sebastián Rulli: 'Lo Que La Vida Me Robó' Star Plans to Return to Telenovelas in 2015
It's been more than a month since "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" ended, and if you're itching for more Sebasián Rulli, then you're going have to wait just a little longer.
The actor has explained that he's not immediately returning to telenovelas.
"Not until next year," he said. "I would like to take some time out for me as well, take the opportunity to enjoy the play, which has been very special and unexpected. I think next year I'll take some months off to relax, to start a new project when the time is right, with all possible energy."
The Argentine actor also shared that his favorite kind of telenovelas are melodramas from past eras. They give him the chance to do something different, and he had a "marvelous" experience the last time he gave them a try.
He recently opened up about the beginning of his career, where he explained that modeling led him to acting. During that time, he took acting classes for fun, but it eventually led to new opportunities.
Rulli began acting in Argentina, where he did five telenovelas, but then moved to Mexico, where he's seen a lot of success.
Since the mid-1990s, Rulli has appeared in at least 18 telenovelas, and he was very honest about the hard work he has put in.
"It's a lot of months working," he said. "It's nine months to a year filming. They are on air for about nine months. Sometimes a little more. Sometimes a little less, depending on its success."
"Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" proved to be one of his most successful shows, and it ran for a whopping 196 episodes.
After the show, he has been touring Mexico with the cast of "Los Derechos de la Mujer," which includes some of his "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" costars, such as Angelique Boyer. On top of the group hitting up new cities frequently, Rulli has even taken the wheel and chauffeured the cast.
