'Arrow' Season 3 Premiere and Spoilers: Executive Producer Reveals New Details About 'The Flash' and "Arrow' Crossover
There's a lot to look forward to when "Arrow" premieres its third season on The CW next month, including budding new relationships and a highly-anticipated crossover with "The Flash."
According to TVLine, Laurel and Felicity will begin a thriving new friendship in the new season. Plus, Felicity and Iris West from "The Flash" will also hit it off during the "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover in episode 8.
"[Iris West] does have an opinion on Felicity, and it's all good. She's a fan of Felicity," said 'The Flash' star Candice Patton. "I think viewers will be very excited to see Barry stuck between these two women. It's so good."
Speaking of crossovers, executive producer Marc Guggenheim also dropped a few spoilers about what fans can expect when Oliver Queen and Barry Allen reunite on screen once again.
The EP revealed that the official title for the episode is 'The Brave and the Bold' and that they have already began filming it, reports CarterMatt.com.
"Arrow-half of epic Arrow/Flash crossover begins filming today! Co-written by @godfreestories Directed by: @JesseWarn," tweeted Guggenheim.
Last week, The CW released the synopsis for the first episode of Season 3, titled "The Calm," which states that crime will be at "an all-time low" in Startling City and Oliver Queen will ask Felicity out on a date, reports CarterMatt. However, just when Oliver lets his guards down, he will be taken by surprise by the emergence of a new villain named Vertigo, played by guest star Peter Stormare.
The synopsis also reveals that Felicity will pick up a part-time job at a tech store after falling on hard times, while Diggle becomes adjusted to fatherhood.
In the meantime, Oliver will fight to regain his company, Queen Consolidated, after signing it over to Isabel Rochev and losing his fortune in Season 2. However, he'll face competition from a charming opponent named Ray Palmer.
"Arrow" Season 3 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
