The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to improve their already-loaded roster as reports have indicated that they are pursuing a trade to acquire Roy Hibbert from the Indiana Pacers.

Tyler Spence of Sports Talk told HNGN that that Cavaliers contacted the Pacers about their interest in trading Hibbert, who could fill in at the starting center spot Cleveland has been looking for this offseason.

Sources indicated that the Pacers want Dion Waiters to be included in the deal along with a future first round pick and several players to make the trade legal in terms of salary.

"The Pacers would want Dion Waiters in return, however, the players that would be involved are not fully known," Spence said. "Latest from a source was that Waiters, Haywood, and a 1st had been offered, however, they would need to add players or other teams to make salaries work."

The rumored Cleveland-Indiana trade is far from a done deal at this point because the Cavaliers are still reportedly thinking twice in giving up Waiters, who is projected to become the starting shooting guard in the upcoming season and superstar LeBron James has high hopes for the high-scoring guard.

"Cavs may be reluctant to give up Dion as well, so this deal is still far from imminent, but does have a realistic shot at happening," Spence added.

Tristan Thompson, who has been mentioned in several trade rumors over the past several weeks, might also be included in the deal along with Anderson Varejao, who will be playing in the final year of his nonguaranteed deal with the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers have already made big moves this offseason. They agreed to ink a five-year deal with Kyrie Irving before acquiring LeBron James, who will be making his return to the team that drafted him in 2003.

The Cavaliers also struck a blockbuster deal that sent All-Star power forward Kevin Love to Cleveland in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a 2015 first-round pick, while also signing free agents Shawn Marion, Mike Miller, James Jones and Lou Amundson.

However, the Cavaliers are still looking for a rim protector to improve their title chances, and Hibbert fits the billing as the 27-year-old center averaged 10.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks last season.
