Chiquis Rivera Instagram & Twitter News: Jenni Rivera's Daughter Gives Fan a Scholarship
Chiquis Rivera has been on a roll with her Boss Bee Nation.
The singer and reality star has given out a scholarship to one of her fans. Rivera shared the image on Instagram, where she posed with a giant check for $3,000.
"With much pleasure and pride, I present you the winner of 'Win a Scholarship With Chiquis,'" she said. "Her name is Ariana Toscano! Congratulations @Atostitos. I'm so proud of you for taking this brave step in your life... I Pray for all the best to come your way!"
Although her Instagram account is private, Toscano has posted a bit about the experience on her Twitter page.
She said that in the 30 minutes since Rivera had tagged her onto Instagram, 30 people had followed her. Also, people were tagging her in the picture she took with Rivera. Toscano even joked that if that was fame, she was liking it.
She also got serious and thanked Rivera.
"But overall I'm so appreciative of Chiquis for giving me this scholarship," she said.
While the young Rivera fan loves to post about pop culture moments, she does pepper in a bit of her life as a student. For example, she was watching "Blackfish" in school, and she wasn't looking forward to it because of the mistreatment of orcas.
Rivera partnered with Tu Visión Canal, and those who wanted to enter for a chance to win the scholarship had to answer three questions: 1. What have you done that makes you proud? 2. What sacrifices have you made to reach your educational goals? 3. After you reach your goal, what is your plan to help the community?
Contestants were supposed to answer the questions in mostly Spanish.
This isn't the only act of kindness that Rivera has shown her fans.
Just a few days before awarding Toscano, she wished her Boss Bees a happy birthday by using their personalized numbers. She did this twice and also wished others a happy birthday.
And when Rivera isn't off making a difference in the lives of her fans, she's posting images of her grandmother's food.
"I know I shouldn't," she said. "But how do you say no to grandma's cooking????!! ...OMG so yummy!! #Enchiladas #MexicanAndProud."
