One of the biggest questions heading in to this NBA season is: how will the Miami Heat do without LeBron James on the team?

After losing to the San Antonio Spurs in the 2014 NBA Finals, by a record margin, James decided to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers. Many people believe James left because he wanted to deliver a title to the city of Cleveland, something they haven't had since 1964. Others believe he just couldn't handle the pressure in Miami. Regardless, James is no longer a member of the Heat, and this team has a lot of unanswered questions.

Dwyane Wade, who was drafted No. 3 overall by the Heat in 2003, has played his entire career with the franchise. Wade is a three-time NBA champion and a Finals MVP, but injuries are starting to take their toll. Last season, Wade only started 53 games for the Heat because of so many lower body injuries. His 32.9 minutes played per game last season was the lowest of his entire career.

Still, Wade is a great teammate and an effective player. Despite playing the lowest amount of his career, Wade still averaged nearly 20 points per game and shot a career high 54.5 percent from the field. The 32-year-old Wade still has clutch shooting abilities, but only time will tell if father time has caught up with him.

Most eyes will be on Chris Bosh. Bosh, like Wade and James, opted out of his contract. He did, however, re-sign with the Heat for a very big contract. Bosh is in the prime of his career and is easily one of the best power forwards in the NBA. Bosh is an all-around great player who can hit jump shots, free throws and is a great passer. Time and time again, we've seen Bosh make critical plays for the Heat in recent years in the postseason.

But, can Bosh be the No. 1 option for a championship team? Bosh is a great role player who is hard to defend, but we still don't know if he can be a Tim Duncan or a Karl Malone type power forward.

Other players such as Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers will have to play great this upcoming season. Haslem, like Wade, has spent his entire career with the Heat and also has three championships. Under head coach Erik Spoelstra, Haslem's playing time has decreased, but he is a good bench player. Mario Chalmers, who is just 28 years old, had a terrible NBA Finals last season. Chalmers and James have had their differences in the past.

Last season, Ray Allen and James led the Heat in three-point shots made, but neither are currently with the team. The Heat will need Chalmers to make a lot of perimeter shots this season.

Although James is no longer on the team, the Heat do benefit from playing in a weak Eastern Conference. The Indiana Pacers will be without Paul George because of an injury, and the rest of the conference isn't looking very competitive. The Chicago Bulls haven't been able to count on Derrick Rose over the last three seasons because of health concerns.

The new look Cavaliers with James and Kevin Love will be the Heat's biggest obstacle. But only time will tell if the Heat have what it takes to return to the Finals without the best player in the world on their roster.

Can the Heat win the NBA title without James on their team? Let us know in our poll and in the comments section below.
