Tina Knowles, the mother of superstar Beyonce Knowles, is allegedly engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Richard Lawson.

MediaTakeOut.com claims to have a "credible source" who says Lawson recently proposed to Knowles "earlier this week."

Prior to her rumored engagement to Lawson, Knowles gushed over her relationship with the actor last month at the International Women & Money Leadership luncheon in Houston,Texas. She confessed that dating Lawson made her feel "the happiest I've been in a long, long time."

Knowles was previously married to Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles. The two later split in 2011 after 33 years of marriage due to Mathew's infidelity.

While speaking at the International Women & Money Leadership luncheon, Knowles revealed that she suffered from low-self esteem following her divorce.

"[Divorce] does something to your whole self-esteem and psyche because I had been married for 33 years ..." she explained. "When something strikes you like that, it takes the breath out of you, but my fight came back. I let myself feel sorry for myself for a minute and then I said, 'you know, I'm so blessed to have all the opportunities that I have. And I don't have the right to feel sorry.'"

The mother of Beyonce then revealed that it was Lawson who helped her deal with the emotional pain from her divorce. It was with his help that Knowles was able to get through her divorce and eventually find love in Lawson.

"[Richard] said, 'I want to support you during [the divorce]. I'm going to come to Houston.' So he came to Houston, I went to LA afterwards, and it's been now a year and five months," Knowles said at the time. "I'm in a committed relationship with that handsome man!"
