Angelina Jolie talked married life in the December issue of Vanity Fair, saying "it's different."

The headlines on the December cover of Vanity Fair reads, "Perfectly Awesome! Angelina Jolie: Visiting War Zones, Directing an Oscar Contender, and Life as Mrs. Pitt."

Although Brad Pitt and Jolie have been together for eight years and have six kids, Jolie said that married life feels different.

"It feels nice to be husband and wife," she added.

The couple, dubbed as Brangelina, married in France back in August. All of their children took part in the wedding and even read some of their own wedding vows.

"They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, 'Sorry,' if we do. ... So they said, 'Do you?,' and we said, 'We do,'" Jolie told Vanity Fair.

The newlyweds will star in the film "By the Sea" together as a couple. It's the first movie they've collaborated on since 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," when they first met and the now-50-year-old Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Jolie is directing the romance movie.

"By the Sea" is about a married couple going through some difficulties. Jolie said that a few friends asked if she and hubby Pitt were crazy for doing a film like that.

In addition to her acting career and her famous husband, Jolie is widely known for her humanitarian efforts. She has gone around the globe in numerous charity cases.

In the Vanity Fair interview, Jolie said she is open to running for office.

"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered," she said. "Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility. ... But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful. I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that could make it less possible."

Last month, Jolie was made an honorary dame by the Queen of England for her work fighting against sexual violence.
