Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards Engaged 2014: One Direction Singer Talks Picking a Wedding Date, Band Mate for Best Man [Video]
Despite getting engaged in August 2013, One Direction's Zayn Malik recently revealed that he is not getting married to fiancée Perrie Edwards any time soon.
During an interview with BBC Breakfast on Monday, Malik said that he and Edwards have not really had the chance to sit down and plan their wedding.
"I haven't really thought about getting married yet," he said. "We're just kind of engaged. ... We haven't really thought about the wedding side of things or how we're gonna do that. ... We haven't really had any time to sit and organize that."
His 1D bandmate Harry Styles joked on the side.
"They did it for the presents," Styles said. "How many times do I have to tell everyone?"
Also, Malik admitted that he has not yet chosen who will be his best man out of the boyband.
"I think it will be quite hard to pick just one," he said.
"It's a bit awkward then isn't it? As long as we're invited," Louis Tomlinson added.
The musician couple met each other on the set of "The X Factor (U.K.)" and started dating back in 2011. In July, the "Steal My Girl" singer sparked rumors that he had secretly tied the knot with the Little Mix member, when he posted an Instagram photo of himself wearing what appeared to be a wedding band.
However, Malik's representative immediately denied the speculations to MailOnline.
"Perrie and Zayn are not married," the rep said. "The picture shows his engagement ring."
Edwards previously discussed her future wedding plans with Malik to The Mirror.
"I definitely want long sleeves. I know exactly what I want, so I'm designing it and getting it made from scratch," she said of her envisioned perfect wedding dress. "Not that I can draw. ... I'm getting Jade to do it. She's going to draw it, and I'm going to take it to somebody to make."
