Pedro Fernandez Dead: Singer Clears Up Rumor Behind Death Hoax
Pedro Fernandez recently left the telenovela "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" because of his health, and it seems that some on the Internet have tried to take advantage of that by claiming that the actor is dead.
Fernandez used his Twitter account to clear up the rumors.
"My gorgeous fans around the world and my friends, they are saying that there is no more Pedro Fdz," he said. "Hahaha, it made me laugh, but don't listen to that. It's a lie."
He then continued with another tweet to further explain the situation.
"It's false information that comes from accounts without any credibility," he said. "So be calm, I will continue singing for you!"
Many people believed the rumor because the page had a fake CNN en Español logo on it, notes El Mañana. The site claimed that Fernandez had a brain aneurysm.
Lately, the singer has had to clear up many rumors. When he decided to leave "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo," many said it was because his wife was upset that he was kissing Venezuelan beauty Marjorie de Sousa on set.
After people spoke badly of his family, Fernandez came out to defend them and give the real reason for his departure.
"The last five months I have worked a lot," he said. "The level of work I've done is impressively high, and sooner or later, I've been feeling it, so that's the reason. Understand that the telenovela can't wait ... it requires too much time, and it's not possible for me."
He said that his wife and children were his biggest supporters, and that many were disrespecting him and his family.
Fernandez's former co-star de Sousa also spoke out about the situation and defended Fernandez's family. She explained that his family was always kind to her, though she did feel awkward kissing Fernandez in front of them.
