Nick Cannon Marriage and Girlfriend News: Cannon Reveals He'll Stay Single Following Mariah Carey Divorce
During a recent interview with People in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Nick Cannon revealed his decision to stay single following his split from Mariah Carey.
Cannon explained that he would stay focused on his children rather than find love again.
"There are a lot of people after me right now. I gotta slow it down," Cannon said. "I'm trying to slow it down and stay focused. Family is the first thing and my kids are most important."
When asked to describe his version of the perfect woman, Cannon responded, "I couldn't even tell you right now. That's a tough one. I haven't thought about that one. I'm just taking it one day at a time."
Despite his decision to "slow it down" in terms of dating again, Cannon expressed his optimism towards finding love later "down the line."
News of Cannon's decision to remain single follows rumor reports of Cannon allegedly dating his newly signed "Ncredible" artist, Amber Rose.
Though both parties have since denied dating, Cannon still praised Rose for her talents and explained his decision to sign Rose under his "Ncredible" label during a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal.
Cannon named Rose's "iconic status" as the reason for signing her as his "Ncredible" act.
"If you look at her social media, if you look at her following, if you look at the people who are already attracted to being in business with her. ... It's really about her curation and her taste maker quality and at the same time just her iconic status in just a short time to be able to be in the public eye, and I just wanted to capitalize off of that," Cannon said.
Now that he is in business with Rose, Cannon revealed his plans to expand Rose's already booming career by way of film, television and consumer products.
