Univision 'Va Por Ti' Recap: Thalia Hugs an Emotional Contestant, David Bisbal Drops By
David Bisbal was the invited guest judge for the week, but there were plenty of other surprises on Sunday's episode of "Va Por Ti."
For Fernando, Danny and Paloma, it was the end of a stressful week, as the three found out who would be eliminated. Fernando was saved by the public, and the judges struggled to agree on who to save. Neither were eliminated, which meant there would be another duel that would decide who would go home.
Team captain Dulce Maria was not happy with this result, and she looked upset. Jencarlos chose Raul and Dulce Maria once again chose Victor. It seems Dulce Maria knew what she was doing, as Victor ended up winning. Raul was eliminated.
Then Thalia showed up. Wearing a red fringe dress, the Mexican star sang her newest song, "Por Lo Que Reste de Vida." Thalia didn't join the judges, but she did watch the show that would be in her honor.
Virginia began the competition by singing Thalia's "Amor A La Mexicana." Virginia's dance moves impressed Thalia.
Yazaira performed "Equivocada," and she was followed up by Ana Cristina.
Paloma was up next, and she talked about losing her younger cousin. Thalia gave the contestant a hug. Paloma sang "Manías."
Thalia listened to and gave advice to the first four singers before saying goodbye to the audience.
Yazaira and Paloma were the bottom two of the first four performers.
Fernando kicked off the second part of the competition, and though he was almost eliminated, he brought a lot of energy to his performance. Stephanie was up next, and she wore a charro suit for her performance of "Deja Que Salga la Luna." Fernando lost the battle against Stephanie.
Jose Palacio went up against Victor Robles, and Jose ended up winning the judges' votes.
Virginia had an encore performance when she went up against Danny, and Virginia once again won her duel.
Victor, Danny and Paloma are now fighting for the audience's votes.
