'La Malquerida' Cast & News: Christian Meier Looking For a New TV Show in Mexico, Sees Romance Rumors With Ariadne Diaz [Watch]
Christian Meier's run as Esteban on "La Malquerida" may be over, but the Peruvian actor is looking to become a more permanent part of Mexican telenovelas.
The actor has confirmed that he will continue to look for projects in Mexico, and is currently evaluating new proposals. "La Malquerida" was Meier's first Televisa telenovela, and he is ready to take on more in Mexico.
"I have a few days left [in Mexico], and I am seeing some work proposals, surely on television," Meier said. "'La Malquerida' brought me many friends, and the public has been very affectionate with me and my co-workers. I have nothing to complain about. I am very happy."
His character, Esteban, started off as a good person, but he eventually showed his true colors. Despite that, fans still wanted his character to end up with Ariadne Diaz's character, Acacia. Neither of the three alternate endings that aired online had Acacia and Esteban end up together.
So Diaz and Meier took it upon themselves to appease the "Estecias," or the people who rooted for Esteban and Acacia to have their happily ever after. In a video, Diaz and Meier passionately kiss. Diaz pulls away from Meier and laughs:
This has started rumors that the two are dating in real life. Diaz has also been known to share pictures of Meier on her social media accounts.
According to Diaz, however, the fourth alternate ending was co-produced by herself and Meier and approved by "La Malquerida" director José Alberto Castro.
As she recently proved, Diaz is not shy about kissing her friends. On Halloween, she shared a video of herself sneaking up on one of her friends, then surprising him with a kiss. In the video, she explained that she was 0 percent shy, and she tagged Herbal Essences for its Live in the Nude campaign.
