One of the most awaited video game releases of the year, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, has launched with a shortcoming. The game’s matchmaking servers have been malfunctioning, making players wait long before playing online.

According to Polygon, the issue arose soon after the game launched with players pointing out the problem on Reddit and Halo Waypoint. Some players only found few matches in six-hour periods.

Microsoft has been informed of the problem and is working to solve it.

“Xbox members, if you are having a tough time matchmaking in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, please restart your search. We are aware that some users are experiencing longer than normal matchmaking search times. We are actively working on a fix,” the company said about the game’s Xbox Live capabilities.

The studio that developed the Halo series, 343 Industries, has been updating players via Twitter.

The studio announced a temporary fix on Twitter, saying an update had been “deployed.” They also provided a link to a site that will provide further updates concerning the game.

“We know many of you are excited to play Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The best way to make sure you’ve downloaded the required updates to play at launch is to turn on Background Downloads with your Xbox One connected to the Internet,” the studio said. “The base download for the game is about 45 GB, and the day one update’s size varies depending on your region but is generally somewhere between 15-20 GB.”
