'Dancing with the Stars' Season 17 Cast, Video and Recap: Injured Bill Nye Sent Home
Bill Nye or the famous Science Guy did not listen to the doctor's orders. Instead, he continued to dance for Monday night's episode of "Dancing with the Stars" season 17. He went for a modified jazz dance to the tune of "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk. It was described as brave and hilarious all at the same time!
Entertainment Weekly spoke to the other celebrity contestants if they would still dance despite having an injury same as that of Bill Nye's torn quadricep. Christina Milian said that she would but her dancing partner Mark Ballas disapproved of it.
The night was filled with high scores and there were three couples that were in trouble, according to People which included injured Bill Nye and partner Tyne Stecklein, Brant Daugherty and Pety Murgatroyd, and Christina Milian with Mark Ballas.
At the end of the show, it was Nye and Stecklein who were sent home after achieving a low score of 16 points yet remained consistent with entertaining everyone still. Nye shared that it was not losing that broke his heart but to see his dancing partner go home. "She's fantastic," he described Tyne.

Daugherty was able to pull it off on the dance floor despite a strained ligament in his foot. Bruno even told him that he is the "perfect matinee idol."
Corbin Blue was nervous with the quickstep even if he has a wide song and dance background. The judges described it as "incredibly fast."
Snooki showed her Marilyn Monroe side while doing her quickstep while Christina Milian wore red garters and wig while dancing a Charleston.
Elizabeth Berkley Lauren was even in blindfolds during rehearsals so as to learn the power of trust and they were able to pull through a flawless foxtrot.
Amber Riley was once again hot and rocking despite the busy time spent for her new album while Leah Remini did a sexy rumba.
Bill Engvall was the Lone Ranger for a paso doble dance and Jack Osbourne went for the cha cha. Once again, Jack was cheered by his Osbourne parents along with sister Kelly. Valerie Harper danced with sore knees and played the character of Grace Kelly for her cha cha routine.
