On Monday, singer and actress Demi Lovato sat down for an interview with Boston's 103.3 AMP Radio show, "The TJ Show." During the interview, Lovato answered a series of her fans' questions including one question regarding the status of her and Miley Cyrus' friendship.

Us Weekly reports that after a long and awkward pause, Lovato responded to the Cyrus question.

"Umm, yeah ... that," she said. "We're like, acquaintances. ... It's life, and people change. And you, know, I don't have anything in common with her anymore, and I wish her all the best."

Cyrus and Lovato, who were once close friends during their rise to fame as Disney Channel child stars, allegedly ended their friendship because of Cyrus' intense party lifestyle, Hollywood Life claims. Cyrus is known for her elaborate and over-the-top lifestyle, while Lovato, who is a recovering alcohol and drug abuser, steers clear from partying and people that might sway her down the wrong path again. Because of the difference in lifestyles, Cyrus and Lovato reportedly ended their friendship.

"Miley is a wild card and Demi has made a point of not surrounding herself with people [who party too much]," an E! News source said. "Demi's sobriety is very important to her."

A Hollywood Life source said that Cyrus makes it a point to keep herself away from Lovato as she feels that the "Really Don't Care" singer is often "preachy" about her sobriety and imposes her beliefs onto other people.

"Demi preaches her way through avoiding partying thanks to her past ,and Miley is all about it," the Hollywood Life source said. "Miley wants a friend and not a parent, and that is exactly the vibe Demi gives off. Miley thinks Demi is a literal buzz kill."

These days, Lovato maintains a low-key lifestyle in Hollywood. On Monday, she tweeted that she is "proud/happy" that she no longer lives the typical Hollywood lifestyle.
