Yesterday, Robin Quivers returned to Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show for the first time in almost 17 months after winning a battle against cancer.

Quivers left "The Howard Stern Show" in early 2012 and underwent a 12-hour operation in order to remove a cancerous tumor from her bladder. The tumor was the size of a grapefruit.

"Seriously, I've been praying for this day . . . and I'm really happy that you are here," Stern told Quivers upon her return.

During her time off, Quivers went through radiation and chemotherapy. She called into the show from home.

It's pretty amazing," Quivers said during the show. "I was brushing my teeth this morning and thinking about going back on the air for the first time after surgery and how incredibly difficult that was, and today not feeling anything at all. It was just a normal day. You can get up and brush your teeth, throw on your clothes and run out the door."

Stern was very happy to have his co-host back. The radio show host said the day was "a pretty remarkable day" and begged Quivers to "never get sick again."

"I could never be without you again. And your beautiful face, your smile-," Stern said.

"What, are you trying to make me cry?" Quivers replied.

In May 2012, Quivers told fans that she was undergoing "a procedure" to remove a tumor that was found on her bladder.

"When you see me, I'm peeing," Quivers said. "It could be something not so bad. It could be really bad...Hopefully, it's something that can just be cut out."

"Doing a show without Robin is like cutting off my left arm," Stern said during his first show without Quivers. "Or my right arm. Or maybe both."

Stern has stated on several different occasions that he would not continue "The Howard Stern Show" without Quivers.

"She was my backbone, you understand," Stern said. "Where I would lose courage, Robin always had the courage. She always is the brave one. Always the brave one with me. I could go to her, and I could always rely on her."
