Borussia Dortmund are underperforming in the Bundesliga this season, but Jurgen Klopp denied that he is planning to step down to accept an offer from Barclays Premier League team Arsenal.

Borussia Dortmund took a disappointing 2-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt, which pushed them to the bottom of the Bundesliga table. They have now lost in eighth of their last 13 league games, which created speculation that Klopp will resign soon.

But when asked about the rumors about his possible exit, Klopp said that he will not make such move despite the fact that he is expected to receive offers from other top-tier teams in Europe, including Arsenal, who are reportedly interested in acquiring him.

"I understand that journalists have those thoughts, but there is no such trend," Klopp said via ESPN FC.

The 47-year-old manager, who helped Borussia Dortmund win the Bundesliga in 2011 and 2012, pointed out that he will remain at helm until someone from the team tells him to step down from his post.

"If it is only about luck and a change of coach can bring that, you only have to call me up and I will step aside," Klopp said. "But it is not so simple. As long as nobody comes and says to me, 'We have someone who does it better,' then I cannot go. I won't stand in the way, but I cannot go before there is a better solution."

Klopp said that he is aware that their fans are disappointed with their performance this season, but he insisted that his players have been doing their best in order to end their slump.

"I can understand the displeasure of the fans, it is perfectly fine, but the team still tried everything," Klopp said. "We wanted to improve our situation dramatically, but we didn't succeed. We will continue nevertheless. We do a lot for nothing and to break through that is a big challenge."

Recent reports suggested that Klopp is on Arsenal's radar. The Gunners are currently sixth in the Barclays Premier League table. They are still within striking distance from the leaders, but some Arsenal fans are already calling for manager Arsene Wenger's resignation.
